By using this website or booking services with Metro Houston Notary, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below. This notice explains our legal responsibilities, the limits of our services, and your rights as a client under Texas law. Our goal is to ensure every notarial act is performed with integrity, transparency, and in full compliance with the law.
Our Role as Texas Notaries
As official representatives of the State of Texas, our job is to:

Verify the identity of document signers.

Witness and certify signatures.

Administer oaths and affirmations.

Ensure that all signers appear willing, aware, and competent to sign.

Provide impartial, neutral service without personal interest in the transaction.
We are committed to performing every notarial act with accuracy, integrity, and in full compliance with Texas Government Code, Chapter 406, and Texas Administrative Code, Title 1, Chapter 87.
What We Cannot Do
While we’re happy to assist with your notarization needs, please note that Texas law strictly limits what a notary can do.
Metro Houston Notary cannot:

Give legal advice or explain the meaning of a document.

Prepare, select, or complete legal forms for clients.

Decide what type of notarization you need (unless clearly stated in the document or by an attorney).

Act as your attorney, legal representative, or agent.

Notarize documents where we have a personal or financial interest.

Complete a notarization without the signer being physically present, unless the notary is separately commissioned for online notarizations.
